These quotes come to you courtesy of Amanda Kulp, whose credentials include the letter she had published in Rolling Stone regarding Fiona Apple. She asked us if she could help out on the page -- and she did a bang-up job. Thanks, Amanda. Below is her original letter to us, along with some excellent quotes.

YES!!!! THANK YOU!!! I've been looking for an anti-Fiona brat page since her expressionless face hit the tv. It's so great to see other people who hate her, not because of her music (although it puts me to sleep, personally), but for her pre-adolescent pity-me-I'm-an-underfed-victim crap. I had the letter in RS about Fiona going into rehab. I was very happy to see it on here. I just thought it was strange that someone taking psychiatric medication would admit to drinking alcohol. Anyone who takes medicine that alters your brain chemistry should know that drinking alcohol with it can cause seizures. Nevermind that it was tested on animals, because the FDA wouldn't approve it otherwise, especially if it's prescription medication! Either she's really stupid or desperate for that kind of attention only adolescent girls want. I think it's both. Did you see her on Rolling Stone's ABC special? If that doesn't prove she just wants attention, then I don't know what else does. I hate to say it, but I can tolerate Alanis more than her. Thanks again for the page--it made my day. Amanda Kulp

And now, more intelligent insights from the omniscient Apple:
"(I'm) ashamed of being a sensitive person 'cause it's not cool."
--Not exactly the same as "go with yourself," is it?
"I'm going to end up in an institution at some point. I think it would be good for me."
--Either she's desperate to be insane to gain sympathy or she's an idiot. Who votes for both?
"I don't want to be like the rape poster girl."
--Oh, no, that title is for Tori Amos, right Fiona?
"If I'm not pretty, I'm not (going) to make it."
--At least she has one thing straight.
"I made no effort." (on getting a record deal)
--A true role model--do nothing, get everything.
On getting people to listen to her: "That's kind of sick, when you think about it, that I have to get up there and grind my hips in front of people."
--True girl power. Doesn't she make you proud to be female?
On her belly ring: "I was just sitting there thinking it'd be cool to have one."
--Harmless, right? Well, anyone who heard Fiona on Howard Stern would understand why this statement is blatantly hypocritical. When Howard told her he wanted to get a tattoo, she bitched him out for only doing it because it's cool, and told another sob story of being around girls at school who got ankle tats to be cool. Now, doesn't that make her reasoning a little confusing?
Maybe it would help if she taped her mouth shut when she's not singing.
